Terms & Conditions

HSIncubator is an educational social platform operated as an unincorporated project by two high-school founders based in India: Adhulan Rajkamal and Pranav Ilango (“Founders”). For the purposes of these Terms, HSIncubator is the service provider and controller of the service experience described below.

• Age. HSIncubator is available to individuals aged 13 or above who wish to engage in academic learning and collaboration.
• Under 18. Users under 18 may register independently. HSIncubator maintains a child-safe, strictly moderated environment.
• Account Responsibility. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Promptly notify us of any unauthorized access.
• Prohibited Accounts. Automated or non-human accounts (“bots”) are not permitted.

HSIncubator provides tools and spaces for students to learn and collaborate, including:

• Curated Notes: Access to notes and materials created and vetted by HSIncubator.
• Friendships: Add other registered users as friends. Friendship requires mutual consent; recipients may decline requests.
• Group Chats: Create group chats with your friends. The creator can add friends; not all members must be friends with each other.
• Public Forums: Participate in limited, topic-specific public forums moderated by AI and HSIncubator staff.
• Study Tracking & Analytics: Record self-reported understanding (1–3 scale), track study durations at subject/PDF level (start/end timestamps), and receive study reminders and progress visualizations.
• PDF Study Tools: Upload private PDFs for personal study. Each student’s highlights and notes remain private to that student.

HSIncubator may improve or modify features from time to time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature will be offered indefinitely.

Ownership. You retain full ownership of content you upload or create on the platform, including your PDFs, highlights, notes, messages, and forum posts (collectively, “User Content”). HSIncubator claims no ownership over User Content.

License to Operate the Service. To operate HSIncubator, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, worldwide license to host, process, and display User Content within the service solely for the purpose of providing the features you choose to use (e.g., group chats, analytics, and dashboards). We will not use your User Content outside HSIncubator without your consent.

Privacy Controls. PDFs you upload for personal study are private to you, and each student’s highlights and notes remain private to that student.

All HSIncubator-produced notes, study guides, and platform materials (“HSIncubator Content”) are owned by HSIncubator and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may share limited excerpts for non-commercial educational purposes with appropriate attribution. Any commercial use, redistribution, or resale of HSIncubator Content is prohibited without our prior written permission.

• Data We Process. Account/profile details, study activity metrics (including timestamps), uploaded PDFs, highlights/notes, messages, and forum posts, to provide and secure the service.
• Infrastructure. We use trusted providers to host and operate HSIncubator, including Vercel (hosting), Firebase (auth, database, storage, real-time services), Cloudflare (media delivery), and Google Analytics (usage analytics).
• Deletion. When you delete your account via settings, all user-related data is deleted automatically and immediately, and cannot be recovered.
• Privacy Policy. For details on data practices and your rights, please refer to our Privacy Policy (linked site-wide and at sign-up).

You must use HSIncubator in a lawful, respectful, and academic manner. The following are strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive behavior.
• Spam, scams, or deceptive practices.
• Impersonation or misrepresentation of identity or affiliation.
• Uploading unlawful, inappropriate, or copyrighted material without rights.
• Sharing exam answers or facilitating academic dishonesty.

Moderation. HSIncubator uses a combination of AI systems and human staff to monitor and enforce these rules. We may remove content at our discretion. If content removal is insufficient, we may permanently delete the offending account. Moderation decisions are final.

• No Professional Advice. AI features (including “Ask AI,” summaries, and automated moderation) generate outputs automatically and may be inaccurate. Verify information before relying on it.
• Reporting. You can report problematic AI outputs toadmin@hsincubator.in.
• Chat History for PDFs. AI interactions are not globally logged. For PDF study sessions, we keep chat history only to maintain continuity for that specific PDF; the chat history is deleted automatically when the corresponding PDF is deleted.

• User-Initiated Deletion. You may delete your account at any time in settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent; associated data cannot be recovered.
• Our Rights. We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion for violations, misuse, security concerns, or as required by law. If we terminate an account, data deletion is permanent.
• No Appeals. Moderation and termination decisions are final.

HSIncubator and all related services, content, and materials are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

HSIncubator does not guarantee any academic outcomes, grades, or exam results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HSIncubator, the Founders, and any contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, reputation, profits, or revenues, arising from or related to your use of HSIncubator, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice by email and/or by posting a notice on the website. Your continued use of HSIncubator after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

• Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and HSIncubator regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
• No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent.
